Shahid Kapoor, considered to be one of the best dancers in India, may have been away from the spotlight for quite some time now, but his fans will soon get the opportunity to see his chiseled looks.
Though better known for his cute looks & dancing moves, Shahid was also appreciated for his fit body (and acting) in the movie ‘Kamine’.

Nutrition & Dietary Habits
Shahid is one of the several Bollywood stars who consume a strictly vegetarian diet, and is ready to go that extra mile (than eat meat products) to compensate for the protein intake that is needed to build muscles.
It also proves that, with focused effort and determination, you can get a six or eight-pack abs, without having to consume meat.
His fitness trainer ‘Abbas Ali’ closely monitors his diet and makes sure he gets the right amount of protein from meals consisting of dal, subzi, roti, brown rice, yoghurt, salads, and protein supplements like whey protein.
Shahid is also quite strict about his eating habits. His daily meals include:
- A heavy breakfast
- Pre and post workout snack
- Lunch and a light dinner.
Abbas knows what kind of exercises works for this Bollywood star. The Ishq Vishq actor trains five times a week for around an hour, and the training are a mix of strength, endurance, core, flexibility, and other exercises. Its a combination of strength training (3 times) followed by two days of functional training or metabolic conditioning; he also manages to jog for around 7-10 kms every week. And because Shahid is a vegetarian, he has to work harder to build & maintain those muscles. That’s the reason this Rajkumar never skips his workouts, even if he’s shooting or travelling.
Shahid’s Fitness Mantra
As of now, Shahid is not focusing much on getting ripped muscles and bulk; he’s more keen to increase his stamina and endurance levels.
Rather than building huge biceps and abs, Shahid wants to be strong from within, and is quite focused about what sort of physique he desires.
Shahid did put on weight some time back (when things were not great professionally) and was out of shape. However, with the help of his trainer & sustained efforts, Sasha has managed to get back in shape for his role in ‘Phata Poster Nikla Hero’.
Shahid’s Workout Routine
The ‘Kamine’ actor trains five times in a week, for at least an hour.
Shahid’s workout routine is a mix of:
- Training with strength
- Endurance
- Flexibility
- Core balance, and
- metabolic conditioning
A typical week includes two days of functional or metabolic conditioning and three days of strength training; Shahid trains different body parts on different days.
Besides the above exercise routine, he also jogs for 7-10 km every week.
