Top Benefits of a Vegetarian Diet (vs non-vegetarian)

Here we take a look at the advantages of a vegetarian diet. While non-vegetarian food is rich in proteins and certain vitamins, most people beyond a particular age require a simple diet that is healthy and easy to digest.

People who love eating non-vegetarian often feel disappointed when they have to eat vegetarian food most of the time. However, besides the taste, there are several reasons why a vegetarian diet suits people once they have crossed their thirties.

There is no doubt that non-vegetarian food is rich in protein and vitamin B and one needs proteins in sufficient quantities, especially growing kids and those who are weight training and wish to build muscles.

However, a lot of people relish non-vegetarian dishes due to their taste; they are often made in rich gravies using lots of spices and butter. For example, everybody’s favorite Butter Chicken.

However, the problem is that a lot of people find it difficult to digest such dishes, it produces gas, and more importantly, they add more calories to your body.

A well-rounded vegetarian dish, on the other hand, is easy to digest, keeps you lean, provides you with all the essential nutrients, and also protects you from diseases such as diabetes, heart diseases, and controls blood pressure as well as cholesterol levels.

However, just being vegetarian is not good enough. The food that you eat and the method of preparation is also very important. So, you cannot eat greasy veggie burgers and fries every day as part of your vegetarian diet. You need to eat a more balanced diet.

For all those meat-eaters, who find it difficult to cut down on meat, a more practical approach is to adopt the flexitarian approach, where your main diet is a vegetarian diet with the occasional intake of meat (with the proper cooking method).

    Non vegetarian lifestyle is certainly not good for health. Whoever says so are basically misguiding. God made us herbivores & at the beginning of life people used to survive with only fruits. Truth will be always truth. Please fight for the truth.
