We all know that “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy” and experts feel that education is really not complete without adequate sports & physical activities. But not every school in India is equipped for sports, nor do they have the inclination to support it.
Children are turning into Couch Potatoes
Parents around the world are worried that their children are becoming more and more inactive, courtesy the increasing popularity of computer, video games and television. Obviously, they would love to see their children spend time doing physical activities as well.
Nowadays, every child wants to play video games instead of outdoor games. Video games are addictive. Playing games on mobile also harms us in many ways. They make the child a couch potato and in turn, makes him lazy and inactive.
Sitting and studying in school for 6-7 hours makes us tired so we need at least 1hr of games to freshen up.
Its observed that most teen students are overweight, primarily because of over-eating and an inactive lifestyle. Hence its important for the youth to take part in sports and be physically fit.
Having a sedentary lifestyle can make us prone to obesity, diabetes, and many other diseases.
